Talking at his press convention to preview the sport, head coach Michael Carrick prompt there are not any recent points arising from final weekend’s 2-0 derby win over Manchester Metropolis.
“I’m not going to let you know the workforce first off [laughs],” he started. “No, everybody got here by the sport very well really. I can’t let you know something, aside from the plain.”
In a separate interview with MUTV, he added: “The boys are in a very good place, off the again of final week. They’re coaching very well, so I can see how a lot they’re in it and targeted and feed off the power.
“The boys got here by it very well [last weekend]. It was large, there isn’t any getting away from it, an emotional day, bodily and mentally, and a giant carry.
“When it comes to the degrees, it was big however the boys got here by it very well. That they had a day or two to relaxation however educated actually onerous and nicely for a few days, and freshed up for the sport, so we’re in a very good place.
“We’re trying ahead to an actual problem, one for us we’re happening to face head on.”
