Stanbic Financial institution has redeemed its pledge to help Ghana’s participation within the 2026 FIFA World Cup by donating GH¢3 million to the Black Stars World Cup Fundraising Committee.
The cheque was offered to the Deputy Minister for Finance and Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Thomas Nyarko Ampem, on behalf of the Authorities as a part of the continued fundraising marketing campaign launched by President John Dramani Mahama in March.
The initiative seeks to lift $30 million from company Ghana and people to help the Black Stars forward of the worldwide event in North America, the place Ghana will make its fifth look on the FIFA World Cup.
Ghana has been drawn in Group L of the expanded 48-team competitors and can face Panama in Toronto on June 17, England in Boston on June 23, and Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
Presenting the cheque, Chief Government Officer of Stanbic Financial institution, Kwamina Asomaning, defined that the financial institution’s help package deal has been structured into two elements â a direct participation contribution and a performance-based incentive package deal geared toward motivating the group to progress deep into the event.
