CHELSEA have formally confirmed the signing of defender Ellie Carpenter, with the Australia worldwide becoming a member of the Blues from OL Lyonnes on 1 July 2025.
The Blues posted: ‘Carpenter, who has agreed a four-year contract, will probably be reunited with head coach Sonia Bompastor and a few of her former Lyon team-mates in SW6.
‘Regardless of solely just lately turning 25, Carpenter already has a powerful CV, with two Champions League trophies and 5 home league titles throughout her time in Australia and France.
‘The defender holds a lot of information internationally, having made her senior debut for Australia at simply 15, and has already travelled to 3 Olympic Video games. She grew to become the youngest girl to ever play soccer on the Olympics at Rio 2016, aged 16.
